From our headquarters in Exeter, South West England our company specialise in providing professional marine surveying and engineering consultancy services throughout Devon, Cornwall and throughout the harbours and ports of the South Coast & Bristol Channel.

Our engineering services portfolio has been developed with the needs of vessel operator, boat owner and boat-builder clients in mind. Our Surveyors, Engineers & Superintendents are recognised for their shipyard and offshore experience and as a company we take pride in providing a reliable and personal service to corporate and private customers equally.

In addition to marine survey and consultancy projects, Safeguard Nautica have also developed Operations & Maintenance (O&M) products and services. This includes the collaborative development of the next generation of efficiency and monitoring solutions for Workboats & Small Commercial Vessels.

For all types of marine survey, Safeguard Nautica carry the experience and resource to look after our principal's best interest.

When undertaking the design and construction of boats or small ships, time was that to assign specific resource to consider the through-life support of a vessel was uncommon.

The benefits of embracing efficient and sustainable marine operations are becoming recognised, but for smaller marine service companies operating in the Small Commercial Vessel (SCV) sector, there are challenges to the implementation of efficiency improvement measures.

Boat-builders and designers of leisure craft are required to meet minimum requirements of a boat as set out in the Recreational Craft Directive 94/25/EC, as amended by Directive 2003/44/EC, in order to guarantee that the vessel is suitable for sale and use in the European Union.
